Your First Visit
You will know exactly what to expect before you ever walk through the door — no surprises, just a gentle start.
Your first visit here is about one thing: getting to know you. Your dental history, your concerns, what matters to you about your care. Dr. Maharaj and the team set aside extra time so you never feel rushed or processed — just listened to.
When you arrive at our East Main Street office in Bedford, you will be greeted by name and helped with any remaining paperwork. If you filled out your forms at home or online, check-in takes just a minute or two. Otherwise, arriving about 15 minutes early gives you plenty of time to get settled.
What Happens During Your First Visit
Meet & Greet
Your hygienist and dentist will introduce themselves, ask about your dental history, and listen to any concerns or goals you have. This is your time — ask anything, no question is too small.
A Thorough Exam
Dr. Maharaj will do a complete check — digital X-rays (quick, low-radiation images that show up instantly), cavity screening, gum health evaluation, bite assessment, oral cancer screening, and a look at any existing dental work.
A Clear Conversation
You will hear what was found in straightforward language, not dental jargon. We walk through your options honestly and answer every question. You decide what feels right — there is no pressure here.
Your Next Steps
If treatment would help, we will outline a plan that fits your schedule and your budget. If everything looks great, we will book your next cleaning and you are on your way — simple as that.
What to Bring
- A valid photo ID (driver's license or state ID)
- Your dental insurance card, if applicable
- A list of current medications
- Any relevant medical records or referrals
- Completed patient forms (or arrive 15 minutes early)
